An opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in an itinerant role across multiple schools in Alabaster, AL. This position involves working with a diverse caseload of children and young adults ranging from ages 3 to 21, providing essential therapeutic services that promote independence and improved quality of life within the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to a caseload of 40-60 students.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement effective treatment plans.
- Travel between 4-5 assigned schools to provide therapy and consultation.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support students developmental, sensory, and functional needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Alabama Occupational Therapy license.
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred.
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload efficiently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
